Nobody Sees Me Like You Do
Broadcast #18: Avram Finkelstein / Roxy Farman!; public talk and new publication!; & March 2025's *bonus* Angel-of-the-Month!
Angelic Transmissions #018 broadcasts tomorrow, Monday March 24th, 12-2pm EST, via East Village Radio! We’re live again from the little glass booth on First Ave! To begin we’ll talk with the legendary Avram Finkelstein (best known as one of the visual mega-brains who literally invented “Silence=Death”) to discuss the first solo exhibition of his own art “Something Terrible Has Happened (Corpus Fluxus)” (@ Smack Mellon until April 27th). In the second half we’ll be joined by artist and musician Roxy Farman to talk about her recent exhibition “Sacrificial Scam” (@ Genre en Regalia).
Saturday, 29 March, 4pm, I’ll be having a public conversation with painter Ross Bleckner at Petzel gallery 4pm. RSVP: press@petzel.com — PLEASE COME!
An essay I wrote called “Here’s Looking At You Kid” about contemporary painting and it’s relation to images is in the current issue of Aperture. I talk about Judith Eisler, Sam Mckinniss, Witt Fetter and our guest from the last episode of Angelic Transmissions Cynthia Daignault (you can now listen to that episode on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all other platforms, in addition to the East Village Radio archive!)
And now, I’m happy to introduce your *bonus* Angel-of-the-Month for March 2025:
Can't wait to read your Harmony Hammond...where is it coming out?
