Broadcast #17: Cynthia Daignault & the Painting + Image super show! ; Announcing March 2025's Angel-of-the-Month!
Angelic Transmissions #017 broadcasts tomorrow, Monday March 10th, 12-2pm EST, via East Village Radio! We’ll spend the entire time with painter Cynthia Daignault. Her work (both painting and writing) are included in two museum surveys that propose new frameworks for thinking about recent painting history, “The Living End” (MCA Chicago) and “Ordinary People” (MOCA Los Angeles"). Additionally, I wrote about one of Cindy’s pieces in the forthcoming “Painting and Photography” themed issue of Aperture, an essay called “Here’s Looking at You Kid" about a spate of recent painting shows in New York that deal with images from the internet—all of which we touch on, and more!
I’m still on the road (love from Santa Fe!) so this is a pre-taped conversation, and because of that I can tell you there is an unmissable deep dive into Cindy’s childhood relationship with Twin Peaks. All I can say is that: I. Was. Gagged.
